All Behind The Ear (BTE) hearing aid tubes harden and should be changed at least every six months. Many people find it beneficial or necessary to change them more frequently.
Why Change Tubes?
BTE hearing aids become uncomfortable and more difficult to wear as the tubes become progressively stiffer. Also, it is claimed the sound transmission through hearing aid tubes deteriorates as the tubes harden.
What Makes Tubes Harden?
Oil from the skin and products used on a person's hair cause tubes to harden. Additionally, people who spend more time outdoors find their tubes need changing more frequently because the UV rays from sunlight and extremes in temperatures cause tubes to harden faster.

All the tubes in this listing are National Assocation of Earmold Laboratories (N.A.E.L.) industry standard sizes #12, with Inside Diameter (ID) of .085" or #13 with Inside Diameter (ID) of .076" and fit most BTE hearing aids for adults. Size #13 tubes are manufactured in four different tube wall thicknesses. The wall thickness on each side of the tube added to the standard Inside Diameter (ID) determines the Outside Diameter (OD) of the different tubes. A name describing the wall thickness is commonly used to identify the different tubes. The descriptive names and Outside Diameters (OD) of the tubes referred to in this listing are as follows:

We ourselves are users of these tubes, are familiar with the high quality of the tubes and are sympathetic to the needs of the hearing impaired to have tubes readily available at a reasonable cost.

The prices of all the tube packs in this listing are the same for simplicity even though we have to pay different prices for different types. Also, we charge the same price for the Sample Pack of 8 as the Single Type Pack of 10 because the packaging and handling is more complex.
Our prices for these tubes are based on very low margins and are lower or competitive with those found elsewhere based on type, quality and other external factors such as packaging and shipping. Our shipping is FREE to any address within the U.S. or U.S. Territories and is very reasonable to non-U.S. locations.

Tubes that have been modified, installed, attempted to be installed, have come in contact with a personal hearing aid or earmold or used in any way CANNOT be returned for exchange or refund because we cannot resell Personal Healthcare Consumables.
Tubes in new condition as shipped are returnable for refund or exchange if you first contact us by eBay Message and receive prior approval. Unless a return is because of our error, the buyer must pay for the return shipment and in most cases an exchange will require the buyer pay a small charge for reshipment of the tubes being exchanged.

Shipment Tracking
You will receive a shipment notification by eBay Message the day your package is delivered to the Post Office or commercial carrier company.
If you choose "Standard Shipping" package tracking will not be provided, but delivery is guaranteed. Standard Shipping is the same class of service as 1st Class Package except there is no tracking.
If you choose "1st Class Package" or a higher class and the delivery address is in the U.S.orders will include a Tracking and/or Delivery Confirmation Number. Priority Mail travels in the same manner as 1st Class Package and we find it has no advantage in the speed of delivery. So we don't offer it.
