Lovely Vintage AMERICAN BEAUTY Pattern By Sabin RED ROSE BOUQUET
Set of 4 Matched Cups and 4 Matched Saucers- 8 Pieces Total
Cups are just the right size and shape for tea OR for coffee
Beautiful pattern is very striking, glossy white china with very VIVID bouquet of 4 ruby red roses and green foliage on front of cups and along side rim of saucer.
22k Gold trim along cup rim and saucer rim.
Cup Size Approx. 2.5"Tall x 3.75"Wide, Saucer 6"Across
Very Good Condition
No chips, nicks, cracks, scratches, or damage to any of the 8 pieces. Glaze is glossy and colors very vibrant. Some normal VERY light crazing to glaze and some almost invisible gentle wear to red roses which is literally almost impossible to notice. NO wear to gold.
This is an unusual set in that most 'rose' dish wear almost always has pink roses in an old fashioned style rose shape. These are REALLY different- the 1950s hybrid rose shape and FLAMING red.
The shape of the cups [shallow footed] is also RARE in this pattern and almost impossible to find listed.... usually the 'flat' rounder shape cups are offered.
Great for a collector, would look lovely in use or on display.
