Here is a rare and  beautifully preserved 86 year old original Belgian movie poster from the first release of Gus Mein's classic musical comedy,
Babes In Toyland
. Many baby boomers out there will fondly remember this film as
March Of The Wooden Soldiers
since it's television broadcast became an annual event every holiday season in the New York area during the Sixties and early Seventies. This is a favorite of many Laurel and Hardy fans. Loosely based on the Victor Herbert operetta, this film follows the boys as they try to save the inhabitants of Toyland from the evil clutches of Barnaby and the bogeymen. This poster is from the 1st release of the film in Belgium in 1934. I know of at least three re-release Belgian posters for this same movie. This is most definitely the original first release and it is very rare. It's also in very good shape for a movie poster of this age. It doesn't come up for sale or auction very often (if at all) and would make a great addition to anyone's Laurel and Hardy movie poster collection.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  24.5" x 29.25"; 25" x 31.5" (on linen)
CONDITION:
Very Good Condition On Linen. Partially trimmed top white border. Prior to backing this poster was folded as originally issued.  Possible remnants of a former tax stamp near the MGM logo at lower right. Some overall yellowing of the paper. This poster has been stored flat for over 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
