Description
Early 1900s 9th Regiment Massive Medal Grouping New York National Guard Captain. This is a top shelf grouping, possibly one of the largest and most complete groupings that exist to a 9th Regiment solider. He volunteered for combar service in the span am war but did not see combat. He also so service in the Brookyln Riots 1895 and the Albany Riots 1901. He started as Private and worked his way to the rank of Captain in a fairly short period of time. His service started in 1893 and by 1905 after 12 years he was a captain. None of the medals are named and the 10 year service cross is what allowed for the grouping to be traced. Tiffany version #277. It contains many 9th awards in near mint condition that are rare and almost impossible to find in any condition. It also contains one of the largest Small Arms Marksman badges that i have ever seen showing many years of rating this badge. Some research documents will be included with the set. He appears to have been a very active marksman and was also involved with the NRA and Red Cross. Very rare and desirable grouping almost impossible to upgrade or replace! This grouping is about as good as it gets! I alreasy have a standing offer for this set that is very strong so anything under 625 will be auto declined. And im not going to let it go for around that either. This is the final listing from the large new New York collection thank your offers and intetest!I realized i forgot to add his name ! These belonged to Captain John Diedrich Braue Co C 9th Volunteers oth regiment NYNG CPT.
