Exceptional Franz Collection porcelain tea or coffee set featuring a long-tailed hummingbird and Japanese iris flowers.
The set consists of a coffee pot or teapot with lid, covered sugar bowl with a notched lid, cream pitcher - five pieces in all.
Franz Collection porcelain is created using the finest Chinese clay and glazes.
Designed by Wei Xuei-Mei and sculpted by Chih Kun.
Franz is contemporary Chinese porcelain, hand painted with detailed, delicate designs copied from nature.
The dimensional molds and exquisite hand crafted detailing make this an example of the finest porcelain.
The hummingbird is literally lifting off of the teapot heading for the three dimensional iris.
It is designed for function as well as beauty.
The tea or coffee pot will hold 20 ounces.
It stands 7.25 inches tall (18.5 cm) to the top of the finial which takes the shape of an iris blossom.
The front of the pot is decorated with a purple iris with green fronds.
A long-tailed hummingbird with a bright orange beak seeks nectar from the flower.
The sugar bowl stands 4.5 inches tall (11.5 cm). The notched lid is topped with an iris blossom.
The creamer stands 4.5 inches tall (11.5 cm). Like all these pieces,
it too is decorated with a purple-and-green hummingbird seeking nectar from the flower.
