Description
Historic rarity in this beautiful 1890s Mintons Roses Stackable Teapot Set consisting of a small teapot, lid, sugar, creamer, underplate, saucer. This was made by Mintons of England for TM James of Kansas City and Mr. James just happened to be the uncle of Jesse James. The set is in gorgeous vintage condition but stress cracks are visible in the bottom of the little teapot. Just for curiosity I filled it with hot water and no evidence of water seepage from the bottom was evident, however, the value and beauty of this set is the historic display value and the rarity of having all the pieces. It is being sold as is with condition noted but the "flaw" in out-of-sight on the underside of the little pot only.
The old Mintons mark on the bottom identifies this set as over a century old.
This is an extremelry rare Mintons stackable set.
Th single serve Mintons Teapot is approximately 7 1/2" across.
(note: the saucer is included as an extra benefit to the set but I think this saucer originally went to a small cup.)
