    Description

Collectible Banthrico Metal Coin Bank. This a miniature version of top of what was Bankers Trust Company bank, now known as the 14 Wall Street Building, an official New York City Landmark.  The bank captures the distinctive pyramidal roof, one of the great towers that define the lower Manhattan sky line located in the heart of the financial district. The building was erected in 1910-12 for the Bankers Trust Company - see photo of article describing it.
The coin bank dates to the 1940s and is made of metal. On the bottom it says “BANTHRICO INC. CHICAGO, IL U.S.A.” It measures 3.2 inches wide and 6 inches tall. Emblazoned on one side is the Bankers Trust Company and emblazoned on another is the Bankers Trust slogan "A Tower of Strength."
Condition is used. There is some light pitting in metal - see photos for more details. It comes with old banthrico key that allows bottom to open although opening latch is a little stiff.
Shipped with USPS priority with tracking.
